Was looking for inspiration and stumbled across this artist character drawing. I loved the dynamic nature of the character pose so I was inspired to model it.
I tried to copy as much of the character look and outfit as I could while still making various touches to maximize how 3D printable this model is.
I used Desktop Hero as my base to get the pose and basic shape and the bow and arrow feathers.
I custom modeled the bowstring, arrow shaft/head, leg armor and gladius-style sword. Daggers, belts, scarf. Took the base source and cut it's outer ring off, built a new under base for it and scaled appropriately.
Rounds of sculpting in MeshMixer for various parts. Sculpted the body, built the shirt sleeves, significant sculpting of hair to be more feminine and to interact with the scarf. Built pointy elf ears on the head, redid eyebrows and eyes to print better.
Printed her "small" at 40mm and big as 80mm to appreciate her details. The big one looks amazing. Small was printed using tilted back version. Big one was printed flat.
40mm is probably the minimum size for the strings and bow coming out good. Any smaller is a risk. Slow printing is best. (30mm max works for me) Use the tilted on her "back" model for best quality of print, especially in the face. Provided flat as well if you prefer.
UPDATED(10/03/2019): Added no scarf version. Re-sculpted the hair and neck to fit the no scarf version. In Flat and tilted models.
